Jun. 30--About 20 to 25 workers at Thilmany Papers in Kaukauna will be laid off by the end of September as part of a departmental restructuring.

"The laid-off employees will have the chance to return as business conditions and attrition levels dictate," Addie Boland, company spokeswoman, said Friday. "Some people are going to be departing the business through voluntary layoffs and attrition."

The affected workers are those with less than one year of service with Local 20 of United Steelworkers who work for the Thilmany Papers unit of Packaging Dynamics Corp., which merged with Thilmany LLC, an affiliate of private equity firm…
