CHINA'S AFTER-SALES AUTO MARKET SEEN TO EXCEED US$39 BLN BY 2010
CHANGCHUN - The market value of China's after-sales service for motor vehicles is expected to reach more than 300 billion yuan US$39.4 billion) by 2010, said an official at a forum on development of auto after-sales market held in Changchun, capital city of northeast China's Jilin Province on June 30.
Yang Junliang, secretary general of Changchun City, said that China's huge market potential of auto after-sales service has attracted many investors from home and abroad, indicating the arrival of peak period of development of the sector.
CHINESE WATCHDOG ANNOUNCES NEW STANDARD FOR LIGHT VEHICLES
BEIJING - China's State Administration for Environmental Protection (SAEP) has announced recently that starting from July 1 of this year, the country will start implementing the national third-stage restriction on pollutant discharge by motor vehicles (hereafter referred to as the state III standard).
The move indicates that the country's control of pollutant discharged by motor vehicles has entered a new stage. The state III standard is said to be equivalent to the European III requirements.
