BEIJING, July 2 Asia Pulse - China's State Administration for Environmental Protection (SAEP) has announced recently that starting from July 1 of this year, the country will start implementing the national third-stage restriction on pollutant discharge by motor vehicles (hereafter referred to as the state III standard).
The move indicates that the country's control of pollutant discharged by motor vehicles has entered a new stage. The state III standard is said to be equivalent to the European III requirements.
Starting from July 1, the country has stopped approving vehicles with the state II standard which is equivalent to European II requirement, and halted sales and registration of all light vehicles with the state II standard.
