DONGWHA PHARMACEUTICAL SIGNS US$511MLN TECHNOLOGY EXPORT DEAL

SEOUL - The Dongwha Pharmaceutical Co. said Monday it had signed a US$511 million deal with Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals Inc. (P&G) to export the technology for a drug that may be developed to treat osteoporosis.

The deal calls for Dongwha to provide to P&G its technology for producing "DW1350," the candidate substance for treating the bone disease, the South Korean drugmaker said.

MULTIPLEX SIGNS US$683 MLN DEAL TO DEVELOP UK HOSPITALS

SYDNEY - Australian construction heavyweight the Multiplex Group (ASX:MXG) has signed a deal worth at least 339.5 million pounds (US$683.88 million) to develop three hospitals in the United Kingdom.

Multiplex will build a 612-bed acute hospital, a 102-bed mental health unit and a 34-bed integrated care centre in greater Peterborough.
