MUMBAI, July 2 Asia Pulse - With a view to scaling up its global operations and enhance its margins, Tantia Constructions (BSE:532738) has accorded high priority to the Bangladesh market, where it is expecting two road projects soon.
"We are looking for opportunities in Bangladesh in areas like roads, urban development and railways. We have submitted Expression of Interests for road and rail projects there. We are expecting two projects there by the third quarter of the current fiscal," company Vice President Siddartha Tantia told reporters.
He, however, didn't identify the projects or their value.
Asked why the Kolkata-based company was looking at Bangladesh when India has a huge backlog in the infrastructure sector, he said projects in the neighbouring country ensure better margins.
