Currently, all condo owners in a complex must consent before a sale can occur. Under the new rule, sales can take place even if only four-fifths, or 80 percent, of owners agree.
Another provision states that 10 percent of a complex's unit owners can defeat a takeover plan by objecting in writing within 90 days.
