Charlotte Players workshop offers 'Acting for Adults'.

The workshop is geared for those preparing for their first experiences on stage or to improve their existing skills.

The eight-week course will be taught by drama teacher and artistic director Janet Castro. Sessions will be 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays, from Saturday to Aug. 18 at the rehearsal hall, 1225 Tamiami Trail, Unit B-11.

The cost is $65 registration and students will have the opportunity to visit a live stage production at the Florida Studio Theater in Sarasota.
