Dr. Gene Sharp has been advocating nonviolence for almost six decades in his roles as professor and practitioner. His scholarly exploration in this arena began with his master's thesis in 1949. Presently, he is Senior Scholar at the Albert Einstein Institution in Boston, an organization which he founded in 1983. He is the author of numerous books that have been published in thirty-two languages.
