Morning Alert for Alliance Imaging Inc. (NYSE:AIQ)

Alliance Imaging, Inc. and its subsidiaries provide shared-service and fixed-site diagnostic imaging services to hospitals and other healthcare providers in the United States. It offers magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and positron emission tomography and positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET and PET/CT) services. The company also offers various services, including systems operation, equipment maintenance, and upgrading and management of day-to-day operations. In addition, Alliance Imaging provides ancillary services, including marketing support, education and training, and billing assistance. As of March 31, 2007, it had 494 diagnostic imaging systems comprising 326 MRI, 77 PET or PET/CT, and 91 other systems. The company was founded in 1983 and is based in Anaheim, California.
