RAILINK, JASA MARGA TO BUILD RAIL TRACK TO SOEKARNO HATTA AIRPORT

JAKARTA - PT RaiLink will team up with state-owned toll road developer PT Jasa Marga to speed up construction of railway between the Manggarai station in South Jakarta and Jakarta's Soekarno Hatta airport.

Railink and Jasa Marga have agreed to cooperate to build the Rp1.5 trillion (US$168 million) project, Railway Transport Director at the Railway Directorate General Sugiadi Waluyo said.

PT TRUBA, CHINESE PARTNER TO BUILD POWER PLANT IN N SUMATRA

JAKARTA - PT Truba Alam Manubggal Engineering and China's Shanghai Electric Generation Group Co. Ltd will start construction of a coal fired power plant in North Sumatra in September.

Construction of the 225 megawatt power plant in Kuala Tanjung of the Asahan regency will cost around US$220 million, Nasri Sebayang, an executive of state-owned electricity company PLN, said.
