Rough Point, the home of heiress Doris Duke, features a magnificent collection of European art, Chinese porcelains, and Flemish tapestries. "The Look! May 3-October 29. Newport, RI. THE DORIS DUKE COLLECTION OF 18th CENTURY NEWPORT FURNITURE. The Doris Duke Collection of 18th Century Newport Furniture is housed in a Federal period mansion and features some of the best examples of Newport furniture from the late 18th century, including pieces by renowned craftsman from the Townsend and Goddard families. June 14-17. London, UK. THE INTERNATIONAL CERAMICS FAIR AND SEMINAR. The Ceramics Fair is renowned for its mix of dealers, collectors, and academics, for its lecture program, and for its superb collection of rare European antique ceramics and glass, as well as 20th century studio ceramics and glass--all strictly vetted before going on sale. June 15-16. Oley, Berks County, PA. ANTIQUES IN THE VALLEY. Antiques in the Valley Show will be held at the Oley Valley High School in Oley, Berks County, PA, located on Route #73 in southeastern Pennsylvania. Friday, June 15th, 11a.m. to 7p.m. and Saturday, June 16th, 10a.m. to 4p.m. Sixty highly respected Antique Dealers from a thirteen state area will be showcasing their finest 18th, 19th and early 20th Century pieces. Emphasis will be on 18th and 19th Century American Furniture, folk art, textiles, pottery, early metals and related accessories. This year, a special loan exhibit "Around the Oley Hearth", will focus on life around the hearth in Oley during the 18th and 19th centuries. The exhibit explores and displays the utilitarian tools, equipment and vessels used to prepare and store foodstuffs.
