To echo an old cliche, customers in the American Mini Mart in North Las Vegas got more than they bargained for if they were present in the store on the afternoon of January 5.
Two men entered the store and at gunpoint herded the workers and customers to the back of the store and proceeded to tie them with zip ties and rob them. The robbers, apparently having too good a time to leave after their initial success, didn't go. They got greedy. As one ransacked the store, the other waited near the front of the store with his gun behind his back; whenever a customer entered, the robber placed a gun to the back of his head and prodded him toward the rear of the store, where his hands were zip-tied and he was robbed.
The customers and workers remained tied up for between 10 and 15 minutes, until the store manager got free of his bonds and retrieved a gun that was hidden in the store. The manager then got into a gunfight with ...
