Marienne Uszler and Henry Z. Steinway were honored with the MTNA Achievement Award at the 2007 CFMTA-MTNA-RCM Collaborative Conference in Toronto.
Uszler was the editor of Piano & Keyboard, a former editor for American Music Teacher, coauthor of The Well-Tempered Keyboard Teacher (now in its second edition) Sound Choices: Guiding Your Child's Musical Experiences, The Pedagogy Major in the College Curriculum: Undergraduate and Graduate Levels, and the author of Play It Again, Sam; That's a Good Question; and Time Flies. Her chapter on keyboard music is included in the MENC Handbook of Research on Music Teaching and Learning. Her articles have appeared in The Piano Quarterly, American Music Teacher, Piano & Keyboard and Arts Education Policy Review.
Recipient of MTNA's 2004 Frances Clark Pedagogy Award, Uszler has given workshops and presentations throughout the United States, as well as in England, Canada, Australia and Finland.
