The Massachusetts MTA has undergone a technological facelift, reshaping its state logo and redesigning its website. The new website--www.mmta.net--includes a searchable member database called "Find-A-Teacher," which enables visitors to locate teachers throughout the state by zip code and instrument.
Massachusetts continues to run its annual events and programs, from the community-oriented July Jamboree, to teacher seminars and student master classes, to the Musical Achievement Evaluations, RACE exams, and the ever popular Bay State Contest. Its 2006 Teacher of the Year was Kathleen Maskell, NCTM, and the Commissioned Composer was Stephen Halloran. Both presented their work and achievements ...
