Missouri Attorney General Jay Nixon filed motions with the Missouri Supreme Court on Friday requesting the Court set execution dates for 10 death row inmates. The action follows the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruling last Monday that vacated a federal district court's stay of all Missouri executions using lethal injections. The court ruled the execution method is constitutional under the Eighth Amendment. Five of the motions involve renewals of previous filings for dates and the other five are new motions.
