SACRAMENTO -- Governor Schwarzenegger's office released details of the California Million Solar Roofs bill (SB1) on February 28th. The bill creates a tenyear incentive program to help Californians install one million solar electric rooftops on homes and businesses throughout the state over the next 13 years.
Earlier, the Vote Solar Initiative, a non-profit solar policy organization, released a new study that quantifies the value of on-peak solar power for California. The study found that the value of California's on-peak solar energy in 2005 ranges from 23.1 to 35.2 cents per kilowatt hour.
