The AHRMM message boards lit up recently over the association's decision to charge members for a policy and procedures manual filled with material submitted willingly and freely by the members. One popular argument against the fee is that members could simply share the information amongst themselves via e-mail (or curiously, the "free" AHRMM message board). Critics would rather AHRMM establish a Web-based service members could access for free. Surely, free is the zenith of all desires. However, critics overlook two points.
