Jun. 10--Don't expect local law enforcement to come immediately to your aid when you dial 911 from your cell phone while traveling the vast network of roads across the state. It might take a few minutes for them to find you.
Oklahoma's enhanced 911 service is spotty across the state for land lines. Add the technical complexity of tracking cell phone calls, and the state lags far behind in developing an emergency network for cell phone users in a pinch.
