Jun. 10--Two weeks ago I asked readers if the high price of gasoline is reducing their time on the water.
The overwhelming response was "yes." Anglers are fishing less and fishing lakes closer to their homes to curb costs.
Dewayne Thornton, 73, of Mustang said his weekly fishing trips to Fort Cobb Lake for walleye and saugeye are a thing of the past.
"I am on a fixed income," he said. "Instead of going once a week, I go once every three weeks now."
The fishing trip used to cost him $25 in gas. Now, the same trip costs more...
