Screening for Mental Health Inc. (SMH), announced this month that the organization has been awarded a new contract by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) to expand the military mental health screening program initiated last year for military members and their families.
The new contract calls for the Wellesley Hills, Mass.-based organization to expand the Military Mental Health Self Assessment program (MHSAP), funded by the DOD, to better serve military families through telephone technology, Spanish language services, and programs to address youth suicide. The programs are offered at no cost to military units and service members and their families.
