BBB asked about group: Training center gets complaints.

Jun. 7--The Better Business Bureau of Northwest North Carolina has received a flurry of inquiries and complaints about the George Black Training Center in Winston-Salem.

The center, which is in the former Lucia Building at 1539 Waughtown St., is sponsored by the Winston-Salem Minority Business Association.

The nonprofit association has been the subject of complaints in the past. In 2004, Forsyth Technical Community College terminated apprenticeship-training classes because of student complaints about the association, which was one of the program's partners at the time.
