Jun. 7--BRISTOL, Va. -- Emerald Lauzon worked overtime to win the Region C singles title in tennis.

The John Battle junior would love to have another long day at Radford University.

Lauzon faces Michelle Repper from traditional Region B power George Mason this morning at 9 in the Group A singles semifinals.

"That [regional championship] match was a long one," said Lauzon, of her 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 decision over Radford's Taylor Shull which lasted two hours and 40 minutes.

"It was a super hot and Shull is a good player, but I was able to get back to my aggressive style in the final set."
