Okay, okay--I take it all back. Well, most of it. First, Ed O'Brien, Phil Selway, and Colin and Jon Greenwood are a great band, maybe even one of the best bands around. Second, Thom Yorke is a whiney, sniveling, irritating weenie. So I guess this an 80% Radiohead conversion--no matter what I find to admire about the band, Yorke's vocals are like a jarred stylus skating across 200-gram virgin vinyl, extra-long fingernails on a blackboard, cats copulating.
What, you might well inquire, would cause this abrupt--if 80%--reversal? A number of things. First, Neil Finn for his epic 7 Worlds Collide enlisted both O'Brien and Selway when he could have had almost anyone. ...
