Every neighborhood has its heroes. So when on a recent gray day a certain quartet of young women, namely Lauren Davis, Eleanor Lembo, Tinsley Mortimer, and Marielle Safra, sailed up Madison Avenue and ducked into the 3 Guys coffee shop in the vicinity of the Whitney Museum, heads turned.

In a convergence of perfectly dressed casual chic, meaning great jeans and genes, they settled themselves in a window booth and ordered cold drinks that the waiter brought with lemon slices and straws.
