Josef Statkus, who was born Juozas Statkevicius, has always dreamed of designing clothes that would find their way into the closets of Hollywood starlets. "When I was a child, I used to look at photos of famous actresses for inspiration. These women seemed to live in a fantasy world that would never be attainable to me," says the long-locked 35-year-old, who began his fashion career working as the official hairdresser and stylist for the Parliament of Lithuania and designing costumes for his country's National Opera and Ballet Theatre.
