Q: How do spray supplements work and are they effective?

A: Demand for liquid nutrition, sprays in particular, is on the rise. Supplement sprays are formulated with powders or powder extracts dissolved in a carrier liquid, usually water, to instantly deliver vitamins, minerals, botanicals and other specialty nutrients. Sprays provide highly bioavailable nutrients and quick results because they don't require digestion before absorption and do not contain fillers or binders. Nutrients are almost immediately absorbed into the capillaries of the bloodstream through the mucous lining of the mouth and under the tongue. This sidesteps the poor absorption often experienced with bulky pills, capsules or softgels. Sprays require no preparation and can be used without water.
