LAHORE, June 1 Asia Pulse - There has been a 120 per cent increase in the exports to African countries and more than 300 per cent increase in the export to Eastern European countries, said Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Chief Executive Officer Tariq Ikram.

Addressing a one-day TDAP seminar on engineering exports at the Lahore Chamber Wednesday, Tariq Ikram said that the engineering sector has the potential to take a 'quantum leap' in its export volume.

The TDAP CEO pointed out that the export target of 2006-7 had fallen short by $1 billion because of a decrease in the export of major industries such as garments, leather and textile. Ikram cited Afghanistan ...
