MIRI (Sarawak), June 1 Asia Pulse - The Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) will start promoting the Miri-Sibuti Coral Reefs National Park by luring Russian divers to experience the latest tourism attraction here.

STB chief executive officer Gracie Geikie said that the promotion would emphasise the number of days they spend here rather than the number of arrivals.

"We hope to bring in about 100 from Russia within this year and probably we could get up to 500 next year during the preferred diving period of April to September," she told a news conference to introduce the first 10 Russian divers brought in by STB to explore the national park which was gazetted last month.

She said the park offered at least 22 diving sites that would definitely make tourists wishing to explore the underwater beauty stay longer.
