SYDNEY, June 1 Asia Pulse - Australia must consider nuclear power and the creation of a carbon trading scheme as part of a strategy to tackle climate change, an expert taskforce has recommended.

In a highly-anticipated report received by Prime Minister John Howard yesterday, the emissions trading taskforce said Australia's response must conform with international practices but not be so radical as to damage the resource export industry, The Australian newspaper reported today.
