Man indicted on assault charges, involving ex-wife.

May 23--BLOUNTVILLE -- A Kingsport man was indicted by a Sullivan County grand jury Tuesday on a single count of domestic assault because police say he nearly dragged his ex-wife with his car as she reached inside to get their child.
In September, David Todd Winegar, 28, no address available, had met his ex-wife to drop off their child after his visitation.
"While [she] was reaching in the vehicle to remove their child, Mr. Winegar rolled up the window, with [her] arm still inside the vehicle, and started to drive off," Sullivan County Sheriff's Deputy Ty Steadman wrote in a court affidavit.
