Up a discreet flight of stairs in a loft building on busy West Broadway is Frederic Fekkai SoHo. More studio than salon, the airy atelier is just what downtown needed: a chic, Madison Avenue-caliber salon with a relaxed, south-of-Fourteenth Street feel. A smaller, more intimate version of Fekkai's sprawling beauty mecca uptown, the SoHo outpost is presided over by trusted Fekkai creative director and collaborator Fabrice Gili.
