John Battle, Lebanon closing out tenure in Hogoheegee District.

May 18--John Battle and Lebanon's stay in the Hogoheegee District is coming to an end.

The two high schools will be joining the newly formed Clinch Mountain District in 2007-08, along with Gate City, Lee High and Virginia High.

But in their final act as Hogoheegee members, the two schools are going out with a bang.

The Battle and Lebanon softball teams appear headed for a one-game playoff thanks to Lebanon's 2-0 Hogoheegee victory over John Battle on Wednesday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Lebanon squared off with Battle in an huge Hogo baseball showdown on Thursday afternoon.
