Based at international headquarters in Miami, Florida, UM (formerly United Motors) offers American-badged cruiser motorcycles manufactured by Hyosung in South Korea. UM says it designs all of its products and is involved in every step of the production process. Its aggressively priced bikes carry a three-year warranty.
The UM V2C-250T features a liquid-cooled, 249cc, DOHC 72-degree V-twin with four valves per cylinder and a five-speed constant-mesh transmission. A low, narrow, 27-inch-high seat helps get both feet down and provides all-day comfort. MSRP for the 250T is just $3,499. The larger, wild-looking V2C-650S also serves as the platform for the V2C-650T model, which adds a windscreen, passenger backrest and saddlebags.
