I can't remember ever having been really and truly lost. Can you? Not exactly in the sense of, "If you don't care where you are, you're never lost," which is a nice way to ride whenever you can, but more in the sense of those times when we have an unfamiliar destination and always find it. Eventually, anyway. My wife Genie and I were talking about motorcycle travel the other night, and she alluded as to how she never worries about getting where we're going, because somehow we always do. In trying to quantify this without attributing it to some special (and most likely nonexistent) talent on my part as pilot, I rejected a couple of explanations:
