MARITIME SECTOR SEEN BOOSTING PHILIPPINE EXPORTS BY US$2-3 BLN.
SAN NARCISCO, Zambales, May 1 Asia Pulse - The Philippine maritime industry is expected to contribute about US$2-3 billion to the country's annual export earnings starting next year with its unprecedented growth in terms of productivity and job generation.
This was announced Monday by Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) Chairman Feliciano G. Salonga in his speech as guest of honor during the 184th commencement exercise of the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA), the premier maritime educational institute in Asia.
