BATAM, SUMATRA, May 1 Asia Pulse - A local businessperson urged the Indonesian Government to conduct a strategic study on the environmental impacts of sand exports, before resuming a permit issuance for sand exports to Singapore.
Before the results of such a study was available, the Government should maintain the policy of banning sand exports to Singapore, Nada Faza Soraya, chairperson of the Batam chamber of commerce and industry (Kadin) said here on Monday.
