INDIA'S ASHOK LEYLAND TO ACQUIRE US AUTOMOTIVE TESTING FIRM.
MUMBAI, May 1 Asia Pulse - Hinduja Group's flagship company Ashok Leyland (BSE:500477) will acquire US-based automotive testing services company Defiance Testing and Engineering Services, Inc (DTE) for over Rs 700 million (US$17 million).
The company has signed a share purchase agreement to acquire 100 per cent of the paid-up capital of DTE, Ashok Leyland informed the Bombay Stock Exchange on Monday.
Ashok Leyland through its Ashley Design and Engineering Services Division (ADES) is already provides design and engineering services to the automobile industry.
