MELBOURNE, Australia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 1, 2007--Rapiscan Systems, a division of U.S. based OSI Systems, Inc. announced today that it had established Rapiscan Systems Australia with offices located in Melbourne.
Rapiscan Systems Australia will focus on providing its Australian-based customers with leading edge security and screening technologies coupled with enhanced after-market service and support.
Rapiscan Systems is a leading supplier of high quality security screening and inspection technologies utilizing X-ray and gamma-ray imaging, and advanced threat identification techniques such as neutron and diffraction analysis.
The Company's has an installed base globally of more than 50,000 security systems in four market segments; Baggage and Parcel Inspection, Cargo and Vehicle Inspection, Hold Baggage Screening and People Screening.
