Texas airports handle record cargo.

Last year, Dallas-Forth Worth International Airport and Forth Worth Alliance Airport saw more international cargo pass though their doors than ever before.

Buoyed by its record-breaking year in the international cargo business, the Dallas-Forth Worth International Airport saw more than 831,600 tons of cargo land on its runways last year, the airport announced this month.

The airport's largest boost came from trade with Asia. The airport handled 213,047 tons of Asian goods, up 21 percent from 2005. The increase was partly because of three Asian airliners adding service to and from the airport in 2006 and a fourth, Air China Cargo, launching an inaugural …
