NEW YORK -- On May 1, The New York Times will publish "Personal Health," a special tabloid-sized section devoted to major health issues facing Americans today, from life-threatening diseases such as cancer and heart disease to illnesses that erode the quality of life for many, including asthma, diabetes, glaucoma and osteoporosis. The articles in "Personal Health" will be written by Times journalists Denise Grady and Gina Kolata, and by contributing writers Linda Villarosa, Nicholas Bakalar and Yudhijit Bhattacharjee. The section will be distributed inside the daily paper.
