Panel OKs Heart idea: Residents to be represented on new committee.

Apr. 24--The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously last night to approve a resolution that supports the idea of the Heart of Triad. The commissioners were scheduled to vote on the resolution at a meeting last month. They decided to postpone the vote to ensure that residents who live in or near the 6,300-acre area along the border of Forsyth and Guilford counties help make decisions about development there. The resolution calls for residents from the Heart of the Triad area to represent Greensboro, High Point, Kernersville, Winston-Salem, Oak Ridge, Forsyth County and Guilford County on a new steering committee. …
