This year marks a decade of promoting France as a C&I destination for Anne-Laure Tuncer, who was recently appointed head of the French Convention Bureau's London office. Originally from Normandy, she joined the marketing department at Maison de la France's Paris headquarters in 1997, where she was responsible for organising shows such as Confex, ITME and WTM, as well as seminars and workshops for travel agents, and fam trips for journalists. She was initially assigned to the Northern Europe markets, and later the Americas. She moved to the US in February 2000, to head up press and PR in the New York office, before moving over to the advertising department. In October last year, she moved to London to take on her current role, where she is responsible for promoting the whole of France to the UK C&I market, working directly with French suppliers and local tourist offices and convention bureaux.
