Apr. 18--Reeling from mounting deficits, tax caps and dwindling state financial support, a dozen school districts in the south and southwest suburbs Tuesday asked taxpayers to dig deeper into their pockets with mixed results. In Lockport Township High School District 205, voters were rejecting a $125.7 million bond issue to build a new high school to handle overcrowding. In complete but unofficial returns, 57 percent of voters rejected the request to build Lockport North on Cedar Road in Homer Glen.
