Apr. 12--Jeff Gordon said he doesn't mind paying more money to the state if it means more people will hear about his acclaimed syrah and red blend called Tradition.
The owner of Gordon Brothers Family Vineyards and others in the industry voted this past winter to nearly double the state's Wine Commission taxes on grapes and wine. Wine producers could pay as much as 8 cents per gallon instead of 4 cents, and grape growers could pay as much as $12 per ton instead of $6.
