Apr. 7--A Nipomo High School graduate who died this week after a car crash in Kern County was a solid student who hoped to become a teacher, her high school counselor said Friday. Chelsea Holston of Arroyo Grande died Tuesday in a Bakersfield hospital after the March 30 wreck on Highway 43. Her passenger in the car, 17-year-old Nipomo High senior Amber Davenport, is hospitalized at Kern Medical Center in critical condition. Davenport, who lives in Grover Beach, is expected to recover.
