Apr. 4--DAYTON, Ohio -- U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown on Tuesday reassured a group of Dayton business leaders that funding considered critical for carrying out infrastructure projects at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is "going to happen."

Brown was the keynote speaker Tuesday morning at a breakfast sponsored by the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce.

The Cleveland democrat said "there's too much at stake on all elements" of a supplemental spending bill that President Bush has vowed to veto should it contain a deadline for troop withdrawal from Iraq.
