It has been described as "an off-road autobahn," by the New York Times. Black Mountain Recreational Park and the Kentucky Mountain Trails of Harlan County are not really a high-speed, paved expressway, but rather an intricate network of off-road trails that climb and weave their way across the 6,000-acre park.
