Spring and summer are a great time of year for training pro-life young people! School is winding down, summer stretches before them, and teens are eager to find opportunities to combine fun with a chance to be a part of the cause of a lifetime.
In fact, it is a safe bet that you know at least one teen who would benefit from attending a pro-life convention, camp, or academy. Locating them might just be as easy as passing this information along to the teenagers in your world ... or to the person in your church who works with teens.
There are a number of educational opportunities targeted specifically for pro-life young people, junior high through college age. You just have to know where to look.
What follows is the "what's what" in pro-life training, along with contact information for each event, should you find yourself wanting more information. Every one of these events will educate, motivate, and inspire pro-life youth to become more involved in the fight for life.
Camp JoshuaMarch 2527, 2007Salem, Oregon
Oregon Right to Life hosts an annual youth leadership camp. From educational sessions on the life issues to fun and informative field trips, Camp Joshua offers a well-rounded pro-life leadership experience. In between the solid education and the leadership training, there's plenty of time for fun, as well!
Past camp highlights include a pro-life version of The Apprentice and visits with pro-life legislators in the state capitol. For more information on Camp Joshua, go to www.ortl.org and take a virtual camp tour, or e-mail Kate at ortlef@ortl.org.
