MEREDITH GROWS ITS OWN: Five Meredith Corp. titles got new publishers this week, including Fitness and Child, both of which were acquired from Gruner + Jahr back in May. All five candidates came from in-house.
Lauren Buerger, previously associate publisher of Meredith's More, moved over to replace Katherine Rizzuto at Fitness. Rizzuto reportedly resigned last week. At Child, where G+J transplant Marcia Kline also stepped down, Rich Berenson, director of corporate sales at Meredith, was named publisher.
