Apr. 4--BRISTOL, Tenn. -- City leaders approved three housing developments and also voted in favor of annexing more than 100 acres into the city during a busy meeting Tuesday night. The votes, however, were not unanimous. Vice Mayor David Shumaker objected to a rezoning request that would allow the construction of five homes where ordinarily three would be allowed off Old Jonesboro Road. Councilwoman Margaret Feierabend, meanwhile, cast the lone votes against proposals to build 100 condominiums on the shores of Boone Lake and a rezoning request that would permit the construction of up to nine units per acre on 83 acres of farm land near Steele …
